Misha Lindsey is a creator, a doer, and an accomplished interior and landscape designer. Her highly regarded ability to envision and deliver consistently extraordinary exterior and interior designs led her to become a lead designer and consultant for HGTV and DIY network television shows, including Yard Core, Turf Wars, Room Crashers, Yard Crashers, Bath Crashers, House Crashers, as well as the West Coast Designer for Vacation House For Free. Each of these shows has captured Misha’s unique triple-threat combination of design, construction, and computer rendering expertise, which has become the cornerstone for Design by Misha.
Misha’s beginnings in design started as a child when she grew up in a 1920’s Craftsman bungalow home which was remodeled by her parents and featured on the cover of Sunset Magazine. After college at UC Davis, she worked ten years in the fashion industry where she consulted as a color and design expert for multinational companies throughout the western United States. Misha’s color coordination and expertise continues to be a trademark service of Design by Misha today.
Misha is dedicated to preserving the earth’s natural beauty and aims to utilize sustainable and reclaimed materials in her designs. In her off time, you can find Misha chasing around and enjoying time with her 3 kids and husband in the Sacramento area.
Jada Gilbert is a Design Specialist at Design by Misha. Jada graduated from UC Davis with a BA in Design and minor in Spanish. She has gained experience in design and construction as a Design Review Intern at the City of Sacramento Planning Department, a drafter for various contractors and a visual merchandiser. Jada finds inspiration from her travels near and far and a plunge in the Pacific Ocean or Yuba River. She welcomes the challenge of any new project and strives to design for the unique needs of each client. When not huddled over a set of plans with a cup of coffee, Jada spends her time digging in the garden, exploring a new river spot, or baking too many things for one household.
Blaire Duffy is a Design Specialist at Design by Misha. Previously situated on the central coast, she lived in Santa Barbara and spent the last decade working for a local family at their coastal home office. That position enabled her to grow her talents as an interior designer and project manager, building on the foundation of schooling from Santa Barbara City College’s interior design program. Her design career so far has taken her to Catalina Island, Wisconsin, and Idaho. She loves blending her appreciation for classical design and architectural styles with more modern, fresh takes for practical residential and commercial applications. Outside of work, Blaire is a ‘boy mom’ of a two year old and a 6 month old. Those little guys are keeping her busy, but also showing her how much you can appreciate the little things in life. When Blaire isn’t working with DBM or corralling the kiddos, you can usually find her chilling out with a glass of vino at home.
